| 07/22/2025 | Commercial Building Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | ACTIVITY NO. TS-PRM-0225-00058 ADDRESS/PARCEL: (10350 E DREXEL RD TUCSON, AZ 85747) Submit your revised drawings along with a detailed response letter, which states how all Building Review Section comments were addressed. Please paste the review comment individually and enter your response directly below it. Please do this for every comment. Review will not proceed without the response letter. The submitted documents were incomplete and a thorough plan review could not be performed. Please be aware, new comments may arise with the next review. Should the above not followed, it may delay your approval. COMMENTS: 1. Sheet 5 of 8 Engineering (monument sign section) a. From Sheet 3 of 8, the wall that the sign cabinet is attached to is a stucco wall. b. Please provide specific information on this wall. If it is cmu with stucco finish, please add this information onto the engineering drawings. Provide drawings as to how this stucco wall is attached to the base cap. c. Please specify if the stucco cmu wall is to be fully grouted. i. Sheet 3 of 8 indicates #10 x 2” screw is being used to secure the sign cabinet. Please verify that the proper attachment hardware is chosen for a cmu material. ii. What is the base cap made of that the stucco cmu wall is sitting on. d. Nowhere within this submittal provides specific information on the steel tube. i. Please provide the diameter and wall thickness. ii. Provide detail drawings as to how this steel tube is attached to the stucco wall. iii. Provide the embedment depth of the steel tube into the base. The engineering drawing seems to indicate that the base has an empty cavity below the base cap. Please provide drawings illustrating how the steel pipe is being secured below the base cap. 2. Please verify the address. The sign is located at a different address compared to the building permit address. Please correct this discrepancy. Please note that a sign cannot be installed on another address different from the actual location of the facility being advertised. A legal document/agreement may have to be executed and recorded to allow this to occur. 3. Please resubmit. If you have any questions about these comments, I can be reached at Justin.Eder@tucsonaz.gov or 520-837-4976 |
