Thrall (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) Date: 3/7/23 Codes: Unified Development Code (UDC) 7A, Sign Standards, National Electrical Coe (NEC), Tucson Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), and International Building Code (IBC). 1) UDC: A) Change sign label to "Low-profile sign" on plans and application B) add street frontage for Campbell to site plan C) clarify that the sign is in a landscape area D) clarify whether any easements in area E) call out the lot line along Campbell very clearly on the site plan 2) NEC / OLC A) add all standard electrical notes: i.e. volts, amps, circuits, shut off switch, dedicate circuit to be provided and labeled at breaker panel, sign shall have all UL, manufacturer and installer stickers on it, LED color temp noted B) add that a timer shall be provided C) add that the timer shall shut the sign off at midnight or business closure, later applies D) add that the sign shall not exceed 4400k color temperature internal illumination E) indicate existing power to be used - or if new power is going to be run to it (there was an old sign here at one time) 3) IBC A) use of hi-strength bolts is fine, but an engineer needs to sign and seal a special inspection form and then appoint a qualified special inspector for the work before the sig permit can be issued.
