a. Foundation depth is shown as, “PER LOCAL CITY/STATE CODE”.
i. The above is very vague and is not acceptable.
b. Please provide structural calculations and detail drawings generated by an Arizona Licensed Structural Engineer that is sealed/signed/dated by the engineer.
i. The above is required for:
1. Canopy/Menu Board
2. Clearance Bar
2. STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS
a. Provide structural design/drawings for the following:
i. Canopy structure at the menu board.
ii. Clearance Bar
b. NOTE: In most cases, the manufacturer may already have these design and specification documents. It should contain connection details such as the connection at the top of post and the canopy, structural member sizes, welding callout, fasteners used, finishes, etc.
i. Should this exist, please submit.
3. Please resubmit.

Outdoor Lighting Review:


1. Add the following Note to the referenced sheets: “As per the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code the Electronic Message Center as shown on this page shall automatically dim to 200 NITS or less from sunset to sunrise. OLC 501.5.2” .

2. Add the following notes to each Illuminated Sigh sheet:
“As per the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code – The internally illuminated sign shown on this page does not exceed the color temperature of 4400K, OLC 501.3.2.”

“24 hour programmable timer installed to comply with the COT Outdoor Lighting Code.
The means of controlling the specific “off” curfew shall be by a 24 hour timing device that includes stand-by power to maintain the time and program for a minimum of 6 hours. OLC 403.5 & 501.6. “

1) Show location of menu sign and clearance bar on last aproved site plan, not a google map. Site plan also lists signs that are not included in this application. Please remove mention of any signs that are not being included in this sign permit application.
2) All dimensions need to be shown in feet.decimal format not feet or inches.
