The mounting detail drawing is missing for both signs listed above. a. Please indicate the wall material sign is attached to. b. Indicate the type of fastener used and how often or how many per letter. 2. SPECIAL INSPECTION FORM a. The special inspection for the building sign that are 30 ft above grade are listed. b. However, the Pylon sign that are 30 ft are not listed. a. Please add the welding special inspection for the pylon sign. 3. PYLON STRUCTURE a. The structural calculation and detail drawings are missing. The following are your options. a. Respond to these comments and submit the structural calculation for the pylon structure with this sign permit. This to include foundation/footing, anchoring used, detail drawing, connection details illustrating fasteners used, structural member size calculations, electrical power, etc. Ensure that these documents are sealed/signed/dated by the Arizona licensed structural engineer. b. Apply for a separate permit for this pylon structure. Submit the building permit number in order for the city to verify its existence. c. Should it be already permitted, please provide the building permit number allowing the city to view the approved drawings. 4. Please resubmit. |

This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Building Code (IBC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC), 2012 Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC). There are several signs that have a color temperature listed at 7000K under the ‘Finish Specifications’ notes. These internally illuminated signs shall not exceed the color temperature of 4400K, OLC 501.3.2.” Please provide updated plans and ‘Finish Specifications’ notes that clearly show compliance with the Outdoor Lighting Code color temperature requirements for internally illuminated signs, OLC 501.3.2.
