02/21/2024 | Commercial Building | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Engineering for large wall sign lettering ACTIVITY NO. TS-PRM-0124-00027 ADDRESS/PARCEL: (3476 S KINO PW TUCSON, AZ 85713) Submit your revised drawings along with a detailed response letter, which states how all Building Review Section comments were addressed. The submitted documents were incomplete and a thorough plan review could not be performed. Please be aware, new comments may arise with the next review. COMMENTS: 1. Please confirm whether the CMU wall is fully grouted in the areas where these signs are to be installed. 2. This tek screw being proposed as fastener for the raceway, how many inches apart are they in order to resist Lateral Forces such as the wind at 115 mph 3 second gust. Please specify this on your drawing. 3. Sometimes CMU faces are brittle therefore will easily crumble resulting to loose attachment. Assuming that the CMU walls have cells that are void & empty, would Butterfly Anchor Bolt be better for a more secure attachment versus a Tek Screw to also resist the 115 mph 3 second gust of wind. Please show on your drawing should you decide to use a different fastener besides tek screw. 4. How many attachments per letter between the individual letters and the raceway again to resist the 115 mph 3 second gust of wind. Please specify this in your drawing. |
