Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) Date: 01/17/23 Codes: Unified Development Code (UDC) 7A Sign Standards, National Electrical Code (NEC) 600, Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC) 2018. The sign area and signage proposed is within code, thank you. Please address the following items for the permit record. 1. UDC: A) use the SVTs from the site plan sheet, rather than what is shown on the final sheet provided. I acknowledge the monument sign is outside the SVT. B) where are the menu boards ....? permitting by others ? C) where are the awnings ....? permitting by others? 2. NEC / OLC: A) Add note to all plan sheets that all signs will shut off via timer by midnight curfew or business closure, later time of the two is allowed B) Add note to all plan sheets that all signs will have the UL sticker, manufacturer sticker and installer sticker on the signs C) Add notes to each plan sheet that dedicated sign circuits shall be provided and labeled at breaker panel D) Add notes to each plan sheet that lock out switches will be provided for sign shutf off switches not directly visible to the signs E) manual reader board on monument is shown on night view as illuminated, yet no details for electrical are provided. Please clarify. 3. IBC: A) clarify how power packs are mounted for wall signs B) regarding monument sign, please clarify how the cabinet is mounted to the support pole - ie. saddle / bolts and number and size and type of bolts used C) regarding monument sign, please clarify how brick veneer is mounted to the metal cabinet structure (i.e. epoxy and grout?) D) dimension full thickness of the monument sign - to include manual reader board E) regarding monument sign, note that no field welds will be done F) regarding monument sign, please note how the reader board will be mounted Thank you for the detailed submittal package.
