Traffic Control Plan:
1. PUAM, Sect 9 - When closing a sidewalk, if a pedestrian would have to walk more than 880’ ft to a safe crossing, we require a protected pedestrian detour path. Please include a sidewalk plan in the next submittal showing a pedestrian detour either through the first travel lane or through the adjacent private property. To go through private property, you much coordinate with the owners. Pedestrian route must be accessible to a person using a wheelchair and detectable for a person walking with the assistance of a long cane. Email me with questions or for examples of sidewalk plans.
2. If planning to temporarily move the bus stop, coordinate with Mackenzi Wintermoyer at SunTran 520-206-8883. Confirm in the next submission that you have coordinated with SunTran.
3. Policy 6.01.1 - Instead of closing the bike lane, please provide a space for bikes behind the barricades. Use a second line of barricades to create a 5’ shifting bike lane on the outside of the temporary pedestrian path. Email me for an example.
