09/30/2026 ROW Engineering Review - Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT Utility Construction Plan
Thank you for providing additional information, however there are 3 poles being upsized that have potential conflict.
1. There are 2 poles that are being upsized that are in conflict with the Sight Visibility Triangle (SVT) for alley and driveways and possibly future sidewalk. If these poles are upsized, additional detail will be required to show poles are out of the SVT and sidewalk clearance (5’ min.).
2. There is 1 pole replacement in the alley that is being upsized that has potential conflict with refuse collection trucks and utility equipment traffic. If this pole is upsized, provide additional information to ensure the location and width can provide passage of refuse collection.
Per Public Utility Administrative Manual
9.11.2 Sight Visibility Triangle (SVT)
Poles, equipment, or other above ground infrastructure shall be placed so as not to obscure any portion of any Sight Visibility Triangle (SVT), consistent with the City of Tucson Unified Development Code (UDC) Sections 10-01.5.0 – 10-01.5.4 (Sight Visibility). Any deviation from this requirement requires approval from the City of Tucson through the Utility Waiver Request process.
11.6 ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT
The location of replacement poles, new poles, and supporting equipment must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, city construction and sidewalk clearance standards, city ordinances, and state and federal laws and regulations to provide a clear and safe passage within the rights-of-way.
Traffic Control Plan
Provide restriction duration for each setup.
