07/07/2024 | Historic | REVIEW COMPLETED | Historic Preservation Office staff has reviewed plans for to pull utility lines through 91 feet of existing conduit and tie into existing system at 3925 N Business Center Drive, Tucson, AZ 85705. The project area falls within a City of Tucson Archaeological Sensitivity Zone. However, the area has been fully surveyed for cultural resources, and there are no known archaeological materials in the immediate vicinity of the work. Furthermore, the work appears as if it is going to go through an existing vault, per plans. So long as no disturbance in the surrounding area occurs, the waiver is appropriate. Therefore the requirement for clearance per A.D. 1.07-7 is waived. However, if any archaeological materials are encountered during construction, all ground disturbing activities must cease in the immediate vicinity of the discovery, and the Tucson Historic Preservation Office must be contacted to assess the find. Be prepared to provide a copy of this letter to intake staff when submitting the project for a permit. This review is for the TR-UTL-0624-01234) project only and does not provide blanket clearance for the property. If additional work is planned for this area, please submit a new request to the Historic Preservation Office. |
