Traffic Control Plan:
1. COT DTM Policy 6.01.1 - Instead of closing the bike lanes, please provide a space for bikes behind the barricades. Use a second line of barricades to create a 5’ shifting bike lane.
2. PUAM, Sect 9 – The proposed detour for pedestrians is too long (more than 660’ to a signalized intersection). Please provide a sidewalk plan that shows how pedestrians will be routed around the work area. For an example of a sidewalk plan, see MUTCD Figure 6H-28. If pedestrians are routed into the street, provide an accessible and detectable route with temporary curb ramps protected by ADA barriers. Email me with questions or for more examples.
3. Please show the SunTran bus stop on the plan. If planning to temporarily move the bus stop, attach additional supporting document showing coordination emails with SunTran’s Jeff Lockwood. His email is Jefferey.lockwood@tucsonaz.gov
