12/19/2023 ROW Engineering Review REQUIRES RESUBMIT TR-ROW-1123-01400 (302 E YAVAPAI RD TUCSON, AZ 85705)

Please resubmit revised drawings along with a detailed response letter which states how all comments were addressed.

Comments:

1. COTC 25-43 Please repair the unused curb cuts on E Yavapai St and N Fontana Ave and the bit of broken curb on N Fontana Ave.
2. The new proposed driveway should be per P. A. G. SD 206 called out on the plans.
3. P. A. G. SD 206, SDG 3-15 - Concrete sidewalks that are crossed by driveways should be 6” thick.
4. You are correct that a ramp is required on the corner. You may be able to meander the sidewalk around the pedestal and Street Lighting Pull Box. You could explore the cost difference between moving the Street Lighting box or working around it with two directional ramps rather than one bi-directional ramp (sheet 2/10 and sheet 4/10 in P. A. G. SD 207 for example). In these examples, the Street Lighting Pull Box could be integrated into the sidewalk between ramps.
5. If the Street Lighting Pull Box on the corner needs to be moved, reach out to Bob Steinman with the Department of Transportation & Mobility Electric Shop at (520) 484-4067. Bob can share a list of approved contractors that can move a box like this.
6. TSM 10-01.3.3.D.1.d - If sidewalks meander, lateral transitions in sidewalk shall be 3:1, longitudinal to lateral. See P. A. G. SD 207 for an example.
