Traffic Control Plan: 1. PUAM, Sect 9 – In Traffic Control Plan, depict provisions for pedestrians and bicyclists along arterials. If changing a pedestrian route or closing a sidewalk, include a sidewalk control plan (See MUTCD Figure 6H-28 for an example. Email me with questions.) This plan should include the full proposed pedestrian detour route. 2. MUTCD - Pedestrian route must be safe, detectable, and accessible including ramps, truncated domes and a detectable edge with Longitudinal Channeling Devices (LCDs). Preferred with of a pedestrian detour is 60’. Minimum is 48’. 3. There is no requirement for an officer within 300’ of a lighted intersection.
