Any work performed abutting a City of Tucson arterial right-of-way requires a Traffic Control Plan that meets MUTCD standards and the City of Tucson MUTCD Addendum (2015). The plan must be drawn and designed by a certified Traffic Control company and uploaded to the permit portal. If the contractor is providing and installing the barricades, an active ATSSA certification must be submitted to demonstrate knowledge of Traffic Control Plan rules and regulations. If not, a certified barricade company must be used to prepare the Traffic Control Plan and provide the required barricades.
