| Zoning Administration | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | RE: liquor mitigation plan review For: TP-PRE-1223-00391 AT: 3333 E Grant Road / Truck to Table C-1 zone process to serve alcohol with food for a restaurant use Reviewer: Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov Date: 2/26/24 The Unified Development Code requires that for restaurants within the C-1 zone to serve alcohol with their food service, that they provide a plan describing how they meet specific criteria pertaining to traffic, noise and lights in adjacent residential neighborhoods. The liquor mitigation plan process takes 4-6 weeks, including a public notice to all properties within 400', residential neighborhood associations within 1 mile, and Ward / Mayor Offices. A 20 day comment period follows. In addition, it is the policy of the Planning & Development Services Department (PDSD) to have the applicant post the site with information and instructions received from staff. This posting is done to support the public mail out process. The liquor mitigation plan is separate from the development package process. A restaurant use, once approved at the location, can proceed to operate. To serve alcohol is separate in that the ability to do so at this site requires the approval of the liquor mitigation plan and approval of a liquor license application, heard by Mayor & Council. Public comments may be addressed to Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov The plan set can be processed still under the development package TD-DEV-0923-00384 Once a Director's Decision Notice is issued for the liquor mitigation plan, the "STATUS" of the case, TP-PRE-1223-00391, would be updated to reflect the approval, approval with conditions, or denied status. |
