This plan has been reviewed for compliance with applicable development criteria in the City of Tucson Unified Development Code (UDC) Administrative Manual (AM) Section 2-11 and Technical Manual (TM) Section for landscape, native plants, and water harvesting.

The comments provided are preliminary and are not to be assumed as a complete review of the proposal. During the Development Package review process, a full review will be made by the Site Landscape and NPPO section to ensure compliance with the applicable UDC development criteria and Technical Standards.

SITE LANDSCAPE/NPPO COMMENTS:

1. Based on the proposed scope of work, site landscape has no comments or concerns with this residential rehabilitation project.

RECOMMENDED SITE LANDSCAPE ITEMS:

2. Cover all disturbed areas due to this rehabilitation with inorganic ground cover. IE: ¾ inch screened rock in a color that blends into the natural desert environment. The area directly to the north of the building is currently covered with invasive weeds. Provide a plan that indicates that all of the weeds are to be removed, and that the area shall be covered with larger scale inorganic ground cover, IE: 1-to-3-inch desert cobble or approved equivalent.

3. The preferred application for this area would be a mix of desert cobble, drought tolerant plant material and drip irrigation for plant establishment. If this improvement is pursued, then please provide a planting plan, irrigation plan and all applicable details required for implementation.

Thank you.

TW New Area Development * REVIEW COMPLETED Based on the information provided, Tucson Water has no objections to, or comments on the proposed development.
After reviewing the current setup, there are two (2) domestic water meters, each 2 inches in size, serving the apartments, as well as one (1) 1.5-inch irrigation water meter. All three meters are tied to the existing 6-inch water main in Zone D.
Based on the documents submitted, Tucson Water does not identify any changes to the connection (tie-in) to the water main at this time.
If any new domestic water, irrigation water, or fire water services are needed to serve this proposed development, please contact Tucson Water’s New Services Section by calling 520-791-5164 or by sending an email to TW_Common@tucsonaz.gov.
The above comments are based on the limited preliminary information provided by the applicant and should not be construed as a complete review of the proposal. Any questions, comments or concerns about these comments may be directed to:
