Code Review Note 1 The occupancy group identified in Code Review Note 1 appears to be associated with a different project. Please revise the occupancy classification to Group A-3 and update the description accordingly. B. Change of Use Please revise the description in Code Review Note 1 to accurately reflect the proposed scope of work, which includes a change of use involving the conversion of the existing storage area into a lobby, conference room, and restroom facilities. C. Fire Protection Information Please indicate whether a fire sprinkler system and fire alarm system are proposed. If a sprinkler system is proposed, identify the type of system. Relevant code requirements include: i. IBC Section 903.2.1.3 requires an automatic fire sprinkler system in Group A-3 occupancies where the occupant load is 300 or more. ii. IBC Section 907.2.1 requires a fire alarm system in Group A occupancies where the occupant load attributable to the assembly use is 300 or more. D. Code Review Note 7 Please revise Code Review Note 7, as it appears to contain information from another project. 2. Sheet A-3 Revisions Please update Sheet A-3 as follows: A. Second-Story Storage Area Provide the use, occupant load, means of egress information, and maximum travel distance for the proposed second-story storage area. B. Fire Separation Wall As discussed during the meeting, please show the location of the proposed fire separation wall and identify: The occupancy classification of the adjacent connected building; and The fire-resistance rating and construction type of the proposed wall. C. Accessibility Clearly identify all accessible entrances and accessible exits on the floor plan. D. Occupant Load Information Provide the square footage, occupant load factor, and calculated occupant load for each room and space. E. Platforms and Accessible Access Provide construction documents and details for all proposed platforms, including any ramps or other accessible routes required to provide accessibility. F. Main Entrance Capacity As discussed during the meeting, the southernmost doorway on the east wall will be relocated adjacent to the proposed storefront entrance to establish the primary entrance. Please revise the plans to demonstrate that the main entrance provides a capacity of not less than 50 percent of the required egress capacity, in accordance with IBC Section 1030.2, Assembly Main Exit.
