Additionally, please submit complete copies of all permit documents (i.e. plans, calculations, reports, etc.) even if they have not been changed. Please note the submittal was incomplete and the plan review was conducted using the information presented. The subsequent review could generate more comments after original comments have been addressed.
1. Please provide structural design criteria, calculations and construction drawings for the site at Tucson, AZ and the 2018 IBC, as the submitted calculations contain references to California and the CBC. Please remove all such references. IBC 107.2.1
2. Please amend the structural design and calculations to reference the codes adopted and amended by the City of Tucson. IBC 107.2. For example, the 2018 IBC, 2024 IFC etc.
3. Please take note of our wind speed amendment.
Section 1609.1.1 Determination of wind loads. REVISE Section by ADDING the following after the last paragraph: Per the Basic Wind Speed Figures, use the following:
Risk Category I – 100 mph
Risk Category II – 105 mph
Risk Category III – 110 mph
Risk Category IV – 115 mph
4. Please note construction drawings are to be sealed and dated by an Arizona licensed registrant. IBC 107.1 and amend the drawings to show or include the following information.
A. Please amend the base layout plan to indicate how many stakes are required at each base plate. Also amend the plans to identify the diameter, length and material strength of the anchoring stakes. IBC 107.2.7
