12/13/2024 Fire New Construction REQUIRES RESUBMIT -"clean up" the plans. It looks like some of the information was possibly copied and pasted over an existing plan or sheet. Some of the details and words need to be "cleaned up" or corrected.
-Include address on title block.
-Your flow point chart shows 6/11 flow points being used. This is incorrect. Correct the flow point chart.
-Too many flow points for this system. Only 11 max flow points are permitted.
-Incorrect nozzle for the plenum. Install correct nozzle for plenum protection.
-You show the hood as being 10'6" This will require additional protection. You only show one nozzle for plenum protection which is inadequate.
-Include duct size/dimensions.
-Include length and width of all appliances.
-Include type of appliances. You show six appliances but only give a description of four.
-Incorrect number of detectors.
-Incorrect placement of detectors.
-Incorrect type and placement of nozzles for appliances.
-Include nozzle heights.
-Missing quick seals per site visit visual inspection.
-Large annual spaces around penetrations per site visit visual inspection.
-Three hoods side by side which is a single hazard area. Simultaneous operation of all hoods required or make it one system per NFPA 17A and 96.
-Indicate if there is a building fire alarm and who is interconnecting the suppression system to the FA.
-Your general notes, #1, state installation to be made in accordance with Ansul manual. Installation does not meet the standards of the Ansul manual.
-Your general notes, #5 and #6 state the install is to be made by an authorized and factory trained distributer or service representative. Provide your documentation as a distributer or service representative. You are not an Ansul distributer.
-Remove red ink comments from your drawings. Red ink is reserved for plan review staff.
PROVIDE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS FROM ANSUL. PER ANSUL AND NFPA, TRAINED/CERTIFIED PERSONAL ARE REQUIRED TO INSTALL THESE SYSTEMS.
I believe you are not qualified to install these systems based on the multiple plan reviews and my site visit. I am requiring your qualifications, training and certifications from Ansul before any other plan review is conducted. Please contact me with any questions.
