3. Use MapTucson to identify and add floodplain information for all watercourse centerlines with wash names or floodplain limits shown on planviews.
4. TS Sec.4-04: Per City of Tucson Drainage Manual, provide details for locations near or within the city’s regulatory floodplain areas.
a. For any proposed conduit line that is proposed running parallel to a watercourse, the Erosion Hazard Setback (EHS) shall be calculated and a detail provided showing the proposed fiber is located outside of the EHS or provide engineering justification showing scour depth is achieved. Additional scour calculation may be needed.
b. For each location where the proposed fiber crosses an existing stormdrain culvert, provide a cross-section detail showing the vertical and horizontal clearances from the proposed fiber utility conduit.
c. For each location where the proposed fiber conduit crosses beneath a box culvert, provide a detail showing proposed fiber conduit below the scour depth if the location is close to the inlet or outlet of the existing box culvert. A minimum lateral/horizontal distance may be called out for these details.
5. As previously stated the component for Anti-dune should not include a factor of ½ in the total scour depth (equation 6.3) as it is already part of the equation in section TS Sec.4-04.6.6.2 (page 6.09 of Tucson Drainage Manual). Revise calculations accordingly.
6. Please submit copy of the construction plans with the revised drainage statement and letter addressing how the comments were addressed.
