The building must be elevated one foot above the base flood elevation (which is 2543.14 feet elevation) and the elevation must be confirmed by a registered land surveyor. The surveyor must fill out two elevation certificates, one before the foundation is poured and one after the building is completed. The elevation certificates must be submitted to the City of Tucson before inspections can proceed.
