Site engineering comments are as follows:
1. This addition is considered a lateral addition by the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). No additional improvements may be made to the house for the next ten years per our ten-year cumulative improvement rule. The addition will need to be raised one foot above the Base Flood Elevation (BFE). The BFE can be established, at the owner’s expense, by a hydrology study completed by a registered engineer.

NOTE: A cost estimate of materials and labor from your contractor in the form of a pdf attachment will be required to complete the FUP application. Please have separate lines for the cost of materials, and cost of labor. Thank you.
