04/19/2023 Site Engineering REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Clarify the proposed use of the structure. If it is habitable, the structure will need to be shown to be elevated above the regulatory flood elevation (RFE) on a surveyed elevation certificate, or have the finished floor brought to the RFE. Another option is to raise the natural grade around the structure with fill to above the Base Flood Elevation (BFE) and apply for a LOMR-F through FEMA (see comment 2).
If the structure is explicitly for storage, the structure can be wet floodproofed (flood vented) according to FEMA regulation.
If the structure is for an other agricultural use, a variance may be possible, however this is unlikely and the structure will likely need to be elevated.

2. A hydrologic encroachment analysis will be required to show the BFE of adjacent properties is not raised by over .1ft. If, per comment 1, a LOMR-F is applied for, the encroachment analysis will need to account for the raise in grade around the structure.
