The existing wall is concrete with masonry veneer which exceeds the 1-hour rating. Both buildings are sprinklered, so there is no limit to the quantity of openings on either wall facing the other building and no physical changes required. Comment 2 – Acknowledged. The northwest corner: the Annex Building at the new property line is right on the annex wall. Per project Architect and per Table 602: The Annex Building with zero separation, Group B, Type VB Construction, a 1-hour rating is required. The existing wall is 8” concrete masonry with masonry veneer which exceeds the 1-hour rating. |
