RE: TD-DEV-1224-00340, 2
nd Submittal, TIA Hangar A-6 - New aircraft hangar, Received
February 21, 2025
To whom this may concern,
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on TD-DEV-1224-00340, 2
nd Submittal, the
development plan for a new aircraft hangar. This development is located in the N.E. quarter of
the N.E. quarter of Section 18, Township 15S, Range 14E, of the Gila and Salt River Meridian.
The development site occupies parcel numbers 140-43-0010 and 140-43-0020, covers
approximately 0.65 ± acres, and is zoned as Light Industrial Zone (I-1). The nearest major
roadway intersection is South Campbell Avenue and East Valencia Road, approximately 500
feet to the northeast of the subject development.
This site does lie within FAA Part 77 airspace.
The Tucson Airport Authority is unable to approve the 2nd submittal of this project and requests
a meeting with the applicant to discuss the proposed drainage basin improvements which are
located on the airside of the project. At least one of the proposed drainage basins, located on
the western side of the project area, has the potential to negatively impact existing and future
aeronautical operations in the vicinity of the proposed project.
