| 08/10/2026 | External Reviewers - Tucson Electric Power (TEP) Standard | REVIEW COMPLETED | To Whom it May Concern, Tucson Electric Power Company (TEP) has received notification that you, or someone on your behalf, has submitted an application for a development permit to the City of Tucson. In accordance with Arizona state law and TEP’s Rules and Regulations on file with the Arizona Corporation Commission, it is the developer’s responsibility to be aware of the location of all existing TEP facilities located at and near the project site. Any grade changes, drainage modifications, or other site improvements may require relocation or modification of existing TEP facilities. All costs associated with the relocation or modification of TEP facilities are the responsibility of the developer. Therefore, while the issuance of a development permit by the City of Tucson may authorize your development of the site, it does not authorize any site improvements or construction activities that may require relocation or modification of TEP facilities without coordinating the work and cost responsibility with TEP. TEP is available to assist with coordination and project preparation. Prior to starting any development activities, please contact us by filling out a General Inquiry Form at: https://apps.tep.com/CustomerForms/Construction/GeneralInquiry or by calling Design Services at (520) 918-8300 option 3 who can help identify and mitigate conflicts with TEP’s existing facilities and easements. Please note that this will require a PDF version of the final set of plans, including approved site plans, electric load information, paving, off-site improvements, and irrigation plans, however, conflict identification and mitigation planning can begin sooner. You are also responsible for obtaining a survey by a registered surveyor to identify existing easements that may be in conflict with your planned project. If additional or modified easements are required, they must be documented by a separate instrument.
