RESUBMIT REVISED DRAWINGS ALONG WITH A DETAILED RESPONSE LETTER, STATING HOW ALL SITE LANDSCAPE AND NPPO SECTION REVIEW COMMENTS HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED. SITE LANDSCAPE/NPPO SECTION COMMENTS: 1. IN ASSOCIATION WITH PREVIOUS COMMENT NUMBER 6: “IT APPEARS THAT THE DESIGN ACCOUNTS FOR 1 OVERALL SUBWATERSHED AND ONE SET OF RELATED WHIA. THERE ARE LIKELY MANY SUBWATERSHED ASSOCIATED WITH MANY WHIA AREAS ON THIS SITE”. Overall, the commercial rainwater harvesting plan is on the right track. The water budget calculation table only includes one subwatershed and one WHIA. Looking at the overall grading plan, it appears that multiple subwatershed and WHIA would be required for accurate water use calculations. **The areas labeled as (BASIN) on the rainwater harvesting area are the water harvest infiltration areas (WHIA). The subwatershed(s) should be delineated with a heavy line weight and labeled as the overall subwatershed related to the WHIA basin, IE: subwatershed equals all hardscape, rooftop drainage and the WHIA area itself in square footage combined. The WHIA is the basin that receives drainage from the subwatershed. If an example is needed for reference, please let me know and I will email a copy, or we can set up a virtual meeting for guidance. 2. The flowlines appear to be matching up with the grades on the grading plan. Please include a few spot elevations on the commercial rainwater harvesting plan at the curb cut inlets and outlets and at the bottom of the basins. This is for quick reference for review and field inspections. 3. With the above in mind, any WHIA and subwatershed areas that are within the ROW should not be included in the calculations. This is a precaution for sites that are within a few percentages of the minimum requirement and ROW expands or something of that nature. No need to change the design, just exclude that square footage of WHIA and subwatershed in the ROW. 4. Coordinate with the civil engineer to make sure a curb cut detail is included on the civil detail sheets and call them out with a leader callout or keynote on the grading plan. 5. The estimated salvage/replacement cost for PIP and TOS is not usually shown on the plan. It is okay to keep it there for your own reference, but the number will not affect compliance with mitigation requirements. Thank you.
