The required 12ft clear opening is to allow room for the service/collection vehicle not the container. Removal of the center gate post would satisfy this requirement. Refer to TSM 8-01.5.2.F., Enclosure and gates must have a minimum unobstructed opening of twelve (12) feet (See Figure 3A & 3B). The gates must be securable in both the closed and open positions.
