| 08/13/2026 | Commercial Plumbing - Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | 1. Provide the size of the water meter serving this property and the expected water demand it will serve. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2024. 2. Show the location of the backflow preventer associated with the water meter. Reduced pressure backflow prevention assemblies are required to be installed directly after the water meter for buildings that have food service facilities or have chemicals, cleaning agents, or other contaminants that may come in direct contact with water.. Reference: Chapter XXVII, Article V, Section 27-72, the Tucson Code, https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/city-services/tucson-water/water-quality/documents/backflow-ordinance.pdf 3. If the specified frost-free yard hydrant located at the fuel canopy uses a below-grade stop-and-waste valve, an approved upstream backflow prevention device shall be used to protect the upstream potable water source and the downstream outlets shall be identified with signs that read, “Caution, Nonpotable water, Do Not Drink.” (Note: the referenced detail on sheet C-08.3 was not shown.) Reference: Sections 608.8 and 608.9.1, IPC 2024. 4. A separate permit is required for the installation of a building sewer that includes manholes and will require a review of the system design by the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality as well as a building permit from the City of Tucson. Reference Title 18, R18-9-E302, 4.02 General Permit, Arizona Administrative Code. 5. The design of the building sewer shows the building sewer connecting to a 60-inch public sewer. Has the Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (PCRWRD) agreed to this plan? Is there a reason why the building sewer is 6-inches and not 4-inches, and why the connection is not to the 8 inch public sewer that parallels the 60-inch public sewer?
