07/14/2025 Commercial Plumbing - Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. The maximum distance between cleanouts shall be 100 feet, measured along the developed pipe length from the upstream entrance of the cleanout (see keynote #4, C2.0). Reference: Section 708.1.1, IPC 2018.
2. The service lateral of the building sewer should be horizontally perpendicular to the public sewer line unless approved by Pima County RWRD. Reference: Section 5.3.1, RWRD Design Standards 2022.
3. A 6” service lateral cannot connect directly to the public sewer; it must connect to a manhole. Reference: Section 5.3.2, RWRD Design Standards 2022.
4. Provide the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole (9810-113, or the new manhole, if one is being installed) and the first-floor elevation. Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 714.1, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson.
