This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). 1. The wire schedule on sheet PV-5 is incorrect for #’s 5 and 7-8. Update the wire schedule to show the correct conductor sizes and the correct currents at each stage. 2. The conductors in raceway #7-9 are undersized for the given current, 142.06A (See backfeed Breaker Sizing table on sheet PV-4A for total current), Reference NEC 690.8(A)(3) and (B)(1). Show these conductors sized for the given total current. Reference NEC 310.15, Table 310.15(B)(2)(a), 310.15(B)(2)(b) and 310.15(B)(3)(a). The adjusted conductor rating may not be less than the calculated Conductor Sizing. 3. Clarify the interconnection method used for the Existing 200A Main Service Panel. If the MSP contains any loads, other than the 200A feeder to the subpanel, then it needs to comply with one of the interconnection methods found in NEC 705.15(B)(2).
