This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC). 1. Show all of the conductor’s types and size from the generator to the ATS, E3601.2. Also Provide the conduit fill % and calculations. Max conduit fill is 40%, E3904.6, Table E3907.8. 2. The #1 AL conductors may be undersized for the given 100A generator OCPD. Provide conductor ampacity calculations. Maximum conductor ampacity is determined by applying correction and adjustment factors for temperature of insulation rating of 90C and CCC (Current Carrying Conductor) proximity. Reference E3705, Table E3705.1, Table E3705.2 and Table E3705.3. Conductors shall be protected with OCPD’s having a rating not exceeding the allowable ampacity of the conductor, IRC E3705.5.
