Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC). 1. Replacement of underground Building Drains shall conform to P3010 or P3011. Specify the specific method being used for the trenchless replacement. Provide the manufacturer’s specifications for the given method. 2. Provide the existing pipe size and show the resulting pipe shall be of the same size as the existing pipe, P3010.2/P3011.2. 3. If a different method is being used, you will need to make an appeal to the building official for consideration of alternative methods.
