1. Provide note: "All code references to those recognized by the City of Tucson" as per PV System requirements adopted by City of Tucson.
2. Provide a lag-bolt connection up-lift calculation demonstrating the wind load supporting capability, R301.1. Show the size and total number and spacing of lag bolts as per PV System requirements adopted by City of Tucson. Verify manufacturer's installation requirements (SolarMount)-minimum diameter lag screws with minimum embedment into the rafter are used, or the anchor fastener recommended by the manufacturer’s guidelines, whichever is more stringent as per PV System requirements adopted by City of Tucson.
3. Provide a lag-bolt connection up-lift calculation demonstrating the wind load supporting capability, R301.1.
4. Show the size and total number and spacing of lag bolts as per code, manufacturer and PV System requirements adopted by City of Tucson.
5. Verify manufacturer's installation requirements (SolarMount)-minimum diameter lag screws with minimum embedment into the rafter are used, or the anchor fastener recommended by the manufacturer’s guidelines, whichever is more stringent as per PV System requirements adopted by City of Tucson.
6. Verify roof is capable of supporting the weight of the following:
a. Existing roof structural members sized as required for roof span and corresponding dead load(s) with existing sheathing.
b. Existing roof.
c. Proposed PV roof top solar system.
d. Live load(s) of person(s) servicing solar system and or firefighters accessing roof.
e. Buildings and structures, and parts thereof, shall be constructed to safely support all loads, including dead loads, live
loads, roof loads, flood loads, snow loads, wind loads and seismic loads as prescribed by this code as per IRC-R301.1.
7. Provide documentation to verify the weight of the PV system 4 lbs/sq ft. or less as per IRC.
8. Sheet S-01 Mounting Detail shows points of attachment aligned. Provide documentation to verify the attachment points of the mounting system are staggered (no check requires low snow and wind load location).
9. Verify Structural Requirements-Rooftop-mounted photovoltaic panel systems shall be designed to structurally support the system and withstand applicable gravity loads in accordance with Chapter 3. The roof on which these systems are installed shall be designed and constructed to support the loads imposed by such systems in accordance with Chapter 8 as per IRCR324.4.1.
10. Provide required inspections as per City of Tucson Development Services Department.

1. Provide note: "All code references to those recognized by the City of Tucson" as per PV System requirements adopted by City of Tucson.
2. Sheet S-01 Mounting Detail and S-02 Structural Detail do NOT indicate roof material.
a. Verify class of roofing as per IRC-905.
b. Verify installation as per manufacturer's installation instructions.
c. Verify weight of roofing material is calculated for roof dead load.
3. Verify Roof penetrations are flashed and sealed in accordance with Chapter 9 as per IRC-R324.4.3.
