Verify weight of roofing material is calculated for roof dead load. 3. Verify Roof penetrations are flashed and sealed in accordance with Chapter 9 as per IRC-R324.4.3. 4. Sheet PV-3 shows panels sloped. Panels are to be mounted no higher than 18” above the surface of the roofing to which they are affixed. Except for flat roofs, no portion of the system may exceed the highest point of the roof. Panels on flat roofs cannot exceed the maximum height allowed for the building unless approved by the local jurisdiction.Verify maximum slope designated complies with limited height above finish roof as specified as per IRC-Chapt. 3. 5. Provide the attachments’ weather sealing detail in compliance and in according to building code IRC section R909.3 and product installation instruction and verifying roof penetrations are flashed to prevent moisture from entering the roof. (IRC Chapter 9, Section R903, R324.4.3). 6. Verify the module/mounting system combination achieves the required fire classification as per IRC and Rooftop mounted PV panels and modules have the proper fire classification rating. (IRC Section R324.4.2 ). 7. Verify Roof access points, paths and clearances need to comply with the IFC & IRC. 8. Verify All roofs have an access point that does not place ground ladders over openings such as windows or doors, are located at strong points of building construction, and in locations where the access point does not conflict with overhead obstructions such as tree limbs, wires, or signs. (IFC 605.11.3.1) 9. Provide documentation to verify the weight of the PV system 4 lbs/sq ft. or less as per IRC-R324. 10. Verify PV systems shall be designed and installed in accordance with Sections R324.3.1 through R324.7.1, NFPA 70 and the manufacturer's installation instructions as per IRC-R324.3. 11. Sheet PV-2-ROOF PLAN WITH MODULES does not have attachments staggered throughout. Provide documentation to verify the attachment points of the mounting system are staggered (no check requires low snow and wind load location). 12. Provide Fire Classification-Rooftop-mounted photovoltaic panel systems shall have the same fire classification as the roof assembly required in Section R902 as per IRC-R324.4.2. 13.
