10/31/2025 Light Residential Building Review (OIP) - Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT Please resubmit addressing the following comments:
• Identify applicable codes on the cover sheet.
• Provide a scaled PDF site plan showing all system components (panels, strings, inverters, meters, ESS, disconnects, etc.).
• For ground-mounted systems, include panel array dimensions, overall height, property line/setback distances, and a foundation design sealed by an Arizona Registrant.
• Include cut sheets (PDF) for all system equipment and mounting hardware with UL or approved listings. Non-listed mounting equipment must be engineered and sealed by an Arizona Registrant.
• Provide a complete roof layout showing all panels, obstructions, and required fire access pathways per IRC R324.6. Show attachment points and racking details.
Structural:
• Provide roof loading data for modules/racking, with fastener sizes and calculations for dead and wind loads (115 mph, 3-sec gust).
• Ballasted systems require engineered and sealed analysis for dead and wind loads.
• Non-ballasted roof systems may follow Pima County SOP 220.2 if applicable.
Electrical:
• Submit one-line and three-line diagrams with conductor/conduit sizes, grounding details, and method of service connection per NEC 705.12.
• Include conductor sizing and OCPD calculations per NEC 690.8 & 690.9, with temperature derate factors based on NEC 310.15.
• Systems with OCPD ≥100A require stamped electrical design/calculations by an Arizona Registered Electrical Engineer (R106.1.1).
Signage and Labeling:
• Provide the exact wording and locations for all Photovoltaic system warning signs and labels as required in NEC 690 and 705.12(B)(2)(3)(b)-(c), including:
– “Photovoltaic System Disconnect” (NEC 690.13(B))
– Markings per NEC 690 Part VI (Sections 690.51–690.58)
– Labeling per NEC 690.33(E)
• Provide warning sign: “Do Not Upsize Main Breaker: Breaker has been down-sized to 175A to accommodate PV System Connection” or equivalent per 705.12(B)(2)(3)(b)-(c).
• Provide warning sign: “Warning: This equipment fed by multiple sources. Total rating of all overcurrent devices excluding Main Supply overcurrent device shall not exceed ampacity of busbar,” or equivalent per 705.12(B)(2)(3)(c).
• Include all labels required per TEPs ESRB 2025
