This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). PLUMBING/GAS Plans: 1. Clarify the scope of work. Is this a gas line replacement or repair? Are you adding a new appliance to the existing gas line? Also, why does your drawing show the gas line extending beyond the attached appliances? 2. Provide a complete gas piping template showing the connection and length from the meter to all attached appliances, G2401.1, R301.1: Include pipe size, type (Black Iron, Poly) and length. Provide appliance demands, G2413.4.1. >>> You are missing the required piping material being used. 3. Provide total demand from all appliances, G2413.2. 4. The appliances selected and the total demand shown do not match. Also, the appliances shown on the drawings do not match either. Provide consistent information! 5. Size the pipe based on the length from the meter to the farthest attached appliance and max total demand of all attached appliances using Table G2413.4(1) (Metallic Pipe), Table G2413.4(7) Polyethylene Plastic Pipe. Note: The length is measured from the meter to the furthest attached appliance for all sizing, G2413.4.1. 6. The 1” pipe is undersized for the given length and appliance demands. 7. The ¾” pipe to the W/H and Furnace is undersized for the given length and appliance demands.
