SECTIONS - DETAILS:

1. Show the wall assembly with a 2” clearance above an exterior concrete surface, R317.1 item The framed wall may require a concrete stem for achieving the 2” clearance between framing and concrete (R317.1 item 5). >>> The framed wall cannot be at ground level; it must be raised per the referenced code.

2. Show the door from a garage to dwelling with a 20-minute fire rating (or 1-3/8” solid core) with self-closing and self-latching provision, R302.5.1.

Electrical Plans:
3. Provide an electrical plan showing a separate (dedicated) GFCI 20-amp branch circuit required for receptacles in an attached garage, E3703.5. A 20 AMP receptacle outlet is required at each vehicle bay not more than 5.5 feet above the floor, E3901.9. >>> The receptacle in the storage room does not meet the referenced code.

4. Notate the requirement for a carbon monoxide detector installation outside of bedroom doors, R315.3. This is required as permitted work is done within existing dwellings having attached garages or having fuel-fired appliances.
