Since this structure was previously constructed without a permit as allowed under a Building Code exception, significant changes will likely be necessary to add electrical service to this structure. When electrical service is added to the shed, is now is required to be permitted and comply with Building code requirements. 2. Submit a complete set of construction drawings to indicate compliance with the 2018 International Residential Code including but not limited to the following R106.1. A. Site plan with setback distances from structures and property lines as structures less than 3 feet from the property line must have fire resistive rated exterior walls of 1 hour—tested in accordance with ASTM E119,UL 263 or Section 703.3 of the International Building Code with exposure from both sides. IRC TABLE R302.1(1) B. The foundation is required to be 12” wide by 6” thick with the bottom of the footing 12” below natural undisturbed soil and be 6” above finish grade if supporting wood framing above. IRC Chapter 4. With ½" anchor bolts embed a minimum of 7” and spaced a maximum of 6 feet apart per R403.1.6 C. Concrete slab on grade is required to be a minimum of 3- ½" thick. IRC R506. D. Please provide drawings to graphically portray the construction of the shed to include the above code requirements and show the framing to follow the requirements of IRC Chapter 6 (Walls) and Chapter 8(Roof). Include all connections and provide an attachment schedule per TABLE R703.3(1) SIDING MINIMUM ATTACHMENT AND MINIMUM THICKNESS. F. Provide a complete code compliant drawing with next submittal.
