| 10/01/2026 | Light Residential Building Review (OIP) - Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | If you have questions regarding this Review, please contact Juan Quintana at juan.quintana@tucsonaz.gov Please resubmit a comment response letter and corrected plan set addressing the following comments: General: 1) Plans reference 2018 ICC and 2017 NEC codes, please correct and show currently adopted codes 2) Remove mentions to roof mounted equipment. This project is only for existing ground mounted PV. If this is inaccurate, please expand details on the plans to show the location of roof mounted PV. 3) T12CM06559, the initial installation of the PV, mentions batteries. Please show battery locations and specifications. If batteries are to be removed, please note this on the plan set. Structural: 1) Existing PV is not reflected in plans. Show the existing module quantity, inverter and PV breaker. 2) If the ground mounted structure will be changed, an additional Residential Add./Alt. permit will be required including construction plans stamped by an active registrant. Clarify if any changes will occur for the ground mount and provide load calculations (new Wind load, Gravity Load, & applicable criteria from R301) R301.1.3, IBC 107.3.4 3) If underground conduits will be replaced, please show the route for trenching and include the depth. 4) Working space clearance must be shown around all electrical equipment, including the ground mount and all live components. 110.26(A) Electrical: 1) PV Disconnecting means must be within sight of or within 10' of the PV system. This disconnect must be labeled according to 690.15(C) 2) Show the rating of the Subpanel between the DG meter and disconnect 3) PV breaker (40A) at the service panel does not adhere to 705.12(B). Per the manufacturer specifications for this piece of equipment, the OCPD must be sized to 60A (125% of the Nominal output current 690.8). Additionally, the 60A PV backfeed breaker and inverter nominal output current would exceed the 40A allowable backfeed for the service panel (200A backfeed limit is 40A). **All work shall comply with the NEC 2023, IRC 2024, and all applicable requirements of the 2026 TEP ESR** |
