The review is in reference to the submittals provided. The submittals require code compliance before a permit is issued. PROVIDE A COMPLETE PLAN SET showing all proposed alterations to the building with 2018 IRC and 2012 Outdoor Lighting Code compliance. The plans require sufficient detail for demonstrating minimum building code compliance for passing all site inspections. Provide a clear and concise construction plan set. Sample drawings are available for understanding details. Sample plans at https://www.tucsonaz.gov/Departments/Planning-Development-Services/Permits/Residential-Permits SITE PLAN: 1. Show the location and lighting fixture type of each exterior lamp, R106.1.1. Previous permits do not show the installation of multiple fixtures. NOTES - CALCULATIONS: 1. Show compliance with the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code with an approved lighting calculation in accordance with OLC 401. Include all exterior fixtures on the property in the outdoor lighting calculations (OLC 401). Lumen calculations are determined using the fixture wattage for determining maximum lumens rather than the installed lamp lumen rating when the lamp is not permanently included in the fixture manufacture. 2. Show compliance with the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code; the total property lighting limit for area E3 is 55,000 lumens per acre and the unshielded limit for area E3 is 11,000 lumens per acre. Separately show the fixture wattage both full cut-off and unshielded styles for determining exterior lighting limits. 3. Full cut-off (FCO) style fixtures require all light to be emitted downward. Fixtures that may emit light horizontally or upward are unshielded. Adjustable fixtures are considered unshielded because the lamp is not fixed in a fully shielded position. 4. Fixtures are only exempt from the total lumen budget if they are Full Cut-Off style and located under overhangs, OLC 401.2.1. 5. Show full cutoff fixtures were located within 25 feet from the property line OLC 401.3.3. 6. Lamps require a maximum setting of 3500K color temperature, OLC 402.1.
