1. Moving the location of the Gas Meter may cause existing gas pipe systems to become undersized and could require additional modifications to be code compliant, G2412.3.
PLUMBING Plans:
1. Note and specify all piping materials and sizes, P2609.
2. Provide a gas piping plan showing the connection from the meter to ALL attached appliances. Include pipe size, type and length. Show connection, lengths and sizes, from gas meter to all gas appliances. 5. Use G2413.4.1 to determine the required developed length to be used in sizing tables.
a. G2413.4.1 Longest length method: Length is from Meter to the furthest connected appliance. Use this same length to determine all pipe sizes.
6. Use Table G2413.4(1) (Metallic Pipe) to calculate correct required pipe sizes. (Table G2413.4(7) Polyethylene Plastic Pipe).
7. Size the pipe based on the length from the meter to the farthest attached appliance and max total demand of all attached appliances using Table G2413.4(1) (Metallic Pipe), Table G2413.4(7) Polyethylene Plastic Pipe. Note: The length is measured from the meter to the furthest attached appliance for all sizing, G2413.4.1.
8. Minimum burial depth, 12”, G2415.12.
9. Yellow tracer wire required for non-metallic pipe, G2415.17.3.
