PROVIDE A COMPLETE PLAN SET showing all proposed alterations to the building with 2018 IRC code compliance with component sizes. The plans require sufficient detail for demonstrating an awareness of minimum building code compliance for passing all progress inspections.

Consider using a design professional if unfamiliar with construction documentation.

SITE PLAN:

Provide a site plan showing the location of all buildings and utilities, R106.1.1. Show the location of all utility lines to the proposed building(s) along with required service alterations.

STRUCTURAL PLANS:

1. Provide complete structural (roof framing) plans showing compliance with the IRC or provide an Arizona structural engineer plan set showing performance compliance, R301.1. Show all proposed repairs and alterations with 2018 IRC compliance, R301.1.

2. A roof projection may not extend closer than 24” to the neighboring property line. Any part of a roof projection extending into the 3-foot fire separation distance from the property line requires not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction on the underside, R302.1 (City of Tucson Amended).

SECTIONS - DETAILS:

1. Provide a structure section showing existing and proposed features including a foundation, sills, anchoring, framing, sheathing and insulation, R106.1.
2. Show a complete cross-section detail of the new exterior wall, R106.1.1. Show the minimum 12” x 12” continuous #4 rebar reinforced footing, R403.1. Show with dimensions the exterior wood siding, insulation, interior sheathing, and pressure treated sill anchored with ½” x 10” bolts. Show the wall assembly with a 6” clearance above the ground or 2” clearance above an exterior concrete surface, R317.1 item 5.

ELECTRICAL PLANS:

1. Show the circuit number for any receptacles or lighting.

OUTDOOR LIGHTING CODE

Replace the proposed fixture with full cut-off FCO style. Adjustable security light fixtures are unshielded, not FCO. Show full cutoff fixtures were located within 25 feet from the property line OLC 401.3.3.
