Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received.

1. Provide the manufacturer’s data sheet on the LPI-32W I joists demonstrating the ~18 foot span, IRC R106.1, R106.1.2.
2. Show the proposed relocated flood light fixture as full cut-off FCO style or provide an Outdoor Lighting Calculation including all exterior fixtures on the property for determining exterior lighting limits, OLC 3.1.2. Adjustable security light fixtures are unshielded, not FCO.
3. Adjustable fixtures are considered unshielded because the lamp is not fixed in a fully shielded position. Full cut-off fixtures are non-adjustable with no lighting at the horizontal plane (fixtures are completely closed around the lamp).
4. Provide the exterior outlet at grade level located at the back of the dwelling, IRC E3901.7, with the required GFCI protection, IRC E3902.3.
5. Provide scupper drainage calculations showing that the 4” scupper can drain both the new porch roof and the section from the existing porch. Notate and size all roofing scuppers for flat roofed areas, IRC R903.4. Calculate the minimum width required for the area served at a 3 in/hr rainfall rate, Uniform Plumbing Code 1101.12.2.1 & Appendix D, International Plumbing Code 1106.5.
