All code references are to the 2018 International Residential Code and 2018 International Energy Conservation Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval.

FLOOR PLAN:

1. Show the primary sleeping room with R310 compliant direct egress to the exterior.

SECTIONS - DETAILS:

1. Attic space requires a ventilation calculation for showing the attic vent opening size using 1 to 150 of attic area in compliance with R806.2. Account for the existing attic space if removing or blocking existing vents.

MECHANICAL PLANS:

1. Show the dryer vent size and location for venting to exterior, M1501.

ELECTRICAL PLANS:

1. Smoke alarms are required outside each separate sleeping area, R314.3.2. Show a smoke alarm in each bedroom and outside the doorway in the immediate vicinity.
2. Interior alterations require the installation of smoke alarms in existing bedrooms, R314.2.2. Provide notation if the smoke alarms are existing or proposed.

INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE:

Provide insulation details minimum (R-13 walls and R-30 small additions or otherwise R-38 ceiling) showing code compliant placement of materials and ratings, N1101. Windows require a solar heat gain of 0.25 or better.

OUTDOOR LIGHTING CODE

Show the proposed fixture as full cut-off FCO style or provide an Outdoor Lighting Calculation including all exterior fixtures on the property for determining exterior lighting limits. Adjustable security light fixtures are unshielded, not FCO.
