This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC). 1. Permit Rejected: This scope of work is not a trade permit. You need to file a residential alterations/additions permit. You will need to file 2 separate permits, one for each Unit’s carport section. Unit1 and Unit2 2. Provide a Roof Framing Plan showing the location and size of beams, headers, and rafters for supporting live and dead structural loads, R804. Identify live and dead loads. This roof framing plan needs to include the existing 2x6 rafters and blocking. 3. Identify all fasteners for wind loading compliance. Show roof (uplift resistance) fasteners (H2.5) with appropriate uplift capacity, R802.11 amended. These uplift resistance fasteners need to be show at each beam to rafter connection point. 4. Provide framing details to show attachment of existing roof structures to new beams. 5.
