An unvented roof assembly requires air-impermeable rigid insulation material of a minimum R-5 value applied correctly to either side of the roof sheathing as part of the total R-38 insulation requirement, R806.5. Note the elevation or provide an insulation detail showing spray foam or rigid foam board and batt layers. Mechanical Plans: 2. Manual J - The square footage in the manual J does not match the square footage for the existing dwelling/addition listed on Sheet A1.0. 3. Please clarify which HVAC equipment will be used. The HVAC equipment listed in the Manual J does not match the system shown on Sheet M1.0. Electrical Plans: 4. Notate that all smoke alarms must be interconnected with a power source from the building wiring and be equipped with battery backup. When ceiling finish materials are removed in existing construction, existing bedrooms be in compliance. When ceiling finish materials are not removed, existing bedrooms may be equipped with battery operated smoke alarms, R314.2. 5. Show new or extended interior 15A & 20A circuits serving outlet locations (except garage, kitchen, and bathrooms) including receptacles, lights, and smoke detectors with combination type arc-fault circuit interrupters, E3902.16 & 17 Water: 6. Show the water service pipe size with sufficient capacity for controlling excessive flow rates by including a water fixture total for the building, P2903.6. The proposed location adds developed length to the existing water distribution. A minimum 1” service pipe is required for supplying water to more than 9.5 fixture units. |
