General:
1. Separate submittal to PC RWRD is required for new connections to sewer, new water meters and upsized water meters. Contact sewer@pima.gov for review and assessment.
a. Provide PC RWRD permit and receipt.
2. Notify Pima County of the intent to remove/abandon the existing septic system. https://www.pima.gov/468/System-Closure-Abandonment. Provide confirmation that this has been completed.
3. Make the following, or equivalent, notes on the provided plans:
a. Remove all sewage from the facility and dispose of the sewage in a lawful manner;
b. Disconnect and remove electrical and mechanical components;
c. Remove or collapse the top of any tank or containment structure; and
d. Cut and plug both ends of the abandoned sewer drain pipe between the building and the onsite wastewater treatment facility

Plumbing Review:
4. Provide elevation measurements for Next Upstream Manhole cover and Finished Floor Elevation. Provide Backwater valve protection as/if required.
Backwater valve protection:

Where the finish floor elevation is less than 12 inches above the elevation of the next upstream manhole cover in the sewer, a backwater valve shall be installed in the building drain or branch of the building drain serving that floor.
5. Provide the Drainage fixture units for the main dwelling and the new ADU, P3004.1.
6. Show the new sewer line is sized per Table P3005.4.2.
