Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC). PLUMBING Plans: 1. Note and specify all piping materials and sizes, P2609. 2. Provide total demand from all appliances. 3. Use Table G2413.4(1) (Metallic Pipe) to calculate correct required pipe sizes. (Use Table G2413.4(7) for Polyethylene plastic pipe). Assuming a Heater demand of 400,000 btuh, and a length of 50’, the 1” pipe is undersized. Minimum required size to the pool heater is 1 ¼”.
