Use an assembly from International Building Code (IBC) Section 703.2.2 2.E3606.5 Surge protection: all services supplying dwelling units shall be provided with a surge-protective device (SPD) installed in accordance with Sections E3606.5.1 through E3606.5.3. 3.E3902.12 Appliance Outlets: GFCI protection is required for receptacle outlets or their branch circuit for: 1. Drinking water coolers 2. High pressure spray washing machines 3. Sump pumps 4. Dishwashers 5. Electric ranges 6. Wall-mounted ovens 7. Counter-mounted cooking units 8. Clothes dryers 9. Microwave ovens 4. Show smoke alarms locations. 5. Provide (an HVAC system with fresh air intake) whole-house mechanical ventilation with controlled exhaust, R303.4; N1103.6 & M1505.4. Show the minimum airflow rate setting and location of the device requiring this adjustable setting. A two or three-bedroom dwelling of 1501 – 3000 SF requires a 60 CFM continuous setting. A single-family residence is a permitted use in this zone (Table 4.8-2) subject to Use Specific Standards 4.9.7.B.6, .9, & .10. RESUBMITTAL OF THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED: Correct plans, as noted in the comments below, along with a response letter indicating how all Site Zoning comments were addressed. 1. The permit and plan show to be for an additional dwelling unit which requires to be separately addressed. The garage is over 50 years of age. The Pima County Assessor’s effective construction date for the residence alone is 1947 or 1952 .Per UDC 3.12.1.A., these regulations apply when an application for a demolition permit involves the complete or partial demolition of a building that is partially or in its entirety 50 or more years old. Documentation will be reviewed and approved by the Historic Preservation Office before a permit is issued.
