Review will not proceed without the response letter. COMMENTS: 1. Any structure placed in the 3-foot fire separation distance from the neighboring property line requires not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction for reducing fire spread across the property line, R302.1. Fire rated materials are found in IBC Table 721.1(2), Items 15-1.1 to 16-1.3. Show a 1-hr fire rated wall in updated plans or move the structure out of the 3-foot fire separation distance from the neighboring property line. >>> Fire rated wall assembly must be from the foundation to the underside of the roof sheathing with no openings. And fire rated wall must extend to the entire length of the roof structure parallel to the property line 2. Fire rated wall assembly, from floor to bottom of roof sheathing, without openings (windows/doors/vents etc.) or penetrations, R302.4. 3. Roof projections extending into the 3-foot fire separation distance to the neighboring property line require not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction on the underside, R302.1 (City of Tucson Amended). The fire protected overhang may not extend closer than 24” from the property line. Remove any roof projections closer than 24” from the property line or provide a 1hr fire rated wall from ground to roof. Fire rated wall must extend to the entire length of the roof structure parallel to the property line. 4. Please verify if there will be any electrical work done. 5. Conductors shall have a vertical clearance of not less than 8 feet above the roof surface. Make a note about where there will be a min 8 ft vertical clearance above carport. (E3606.2.1) 6.
